pei xue, Post-doctoral researcher

In June 2016, Pei completed five-year studies and earned the degree of Bachelor of Medicine (Sichuan University, China). In the same year, she started to pursue a doctorate. Between April 2021 and June 2022, she joined Benedict's group as a guest doctoral student. In June 2022, she earned a Ph.D. in Doctor of Medicine (Sichuan University, China). Since then, she has joined Benedict's group as a postdoctoral researcher, mainly working with epidemiological data and conducting experimental research. Her research focuses on sleep, metabolism, cardiovascular, and brain health. She is a licensed doctor and has published 25 peer-reviewed articles, including eight first-author or co-first-author publications in prestigious journals. Her research is funded by the Åke Wiberg Foundation.
